We all have visited the doctor or dentist in our lives, some more than others. Your appointment (for example) is at 10:15AM. You rush to get ready and get to the office early so as not to be late. You check in and are told that the doctor will see you in a few minutes. So you grab a magazine which is 6 months old and look through the pages. Then you wait....and wait...and wait. You look at your watch and it's now 11:30AM and by now your thinking "where is that damn doctor?????"

My question here is do you get frustrated at doctors who make you wait an unreasonable amount of time? This not only applies to doctors but dentists, lawyers, auto mechanics, tax consultants, and hospital emergency rooms. It really is unconsiderate. I realize that all of the mentioned professions have other patients/clients/customers but they could at least tell you that they are running behind. What's your opinion?

No, waiting to see someone like that doesn't really bother me. What does annoy me though is waiting an hour for a bus and then 5 turn up at once laugh

Here in the hospital emergency room, normal waiting time is 8 hours plus, to get seen. Doc surgeries can be two or three hours, in order to get your allotted 5 minute slot..

A chest x ray here has a waiting list of nearly 4 weeks. A surgical appointment can take in excess of 5 years waiting time to even see a consultant first.

We have no choice but to accept. All the protesting and shouting in the world doesn't change things, well it hasn't here anyway.

It'd be a waste of good anger getting miffed about it.
