you would think being so close to the airport in one of the biggest towns in dublin there would be a train station, closest one is a 20 min drive on a good day roll eyes im a careful driver anyway and ill be leaving it till the mid morning to be leaving anyway so at least there will have hopefully been a bit of a thaw of the snow falling now

According to met eireann website it's 0 degrees in Wexford.

Yet according to my car an hour ago it was -5 (met.ie said it was +2 at that time).

I wonder which is correct?

all depends on where their station is, the temps they give are just for one location as far as i know. i remember from kuwait they took the temperature in the centre of the multi story carpark in the airport 6foot off the ground to get an accurate air temp though it never went over 51 degrees just like their thermometers laugh

The car thermometers are not the most accurate in the world. Met website would be right but thats a temp at a particular place...

Just went out and checked again. (Yes I need a life... I know this!)

Both car and met.ie say -1 now.

Freezing rain here in south Wexford this morning. Apparently it's snowing in Wexford town so it will probably reach here before long.

Tried to get to work this morning but didn't manage it. Didn't even get to the village. Met a neighbour who advised me to go home. It took him over 3 hours to make a trip that normally takes 20 minutes... and he was in a bus with "winter tyres" whatever they are.
