I love a little adventure..how else will I learn about wonderful stories such as the ones I came across in Riga...If you havent been Jan..take the time to go..its truly amazing..it made such an impression on me
In Bastian Park they have 7 small bridges..locally know as the bridges of love...when a couple make a committment to each other, they engrave a padlock with their names, they keep 1 key, they give another to their family, and the 3rd is thrown in the river..should it be that they seperate..they have to retrieve all 3 keys
They have a similar custom in Russia. Cross some of the bridges in Moscow and you can see notes, keys, pretty bows etc, it´s lovely.
