salanky: id be happy with what i was given because it was picked for me to suit me not to suit someone else. personally im not into big flashy presents id much rather something that was bought for me because i wanted it or would like it not to keep up with the jones' so to speak. thats just me though
Thats the way I judge presents too, a bit of thought into what you really like rather than try to impress someone with bling that you dont really like but your friends will be impressed with.

no, the price doesnt matter to me. i spend what i can afford on christmas.
people who are competitive with presents annoy me e.g. one year an ex-friend bought me an expensive ghd set caus she was working. i wasnt and had said i only wanted small presents that year.

What is it with some men and the whole 'mine is bigger than yours thing?' Life isn't a competition. Those who are important to you wouldn't care how much was spent and I certainly wouldn't care. It's what's from the heart, not from the pocket that's important.....well, to me anyway :)
