but a lot of people wear socks to bed, and it's one of my pet hates, my daughter wears hers to bed cos she says her feet get so cold but it drives me nuts!!

I think meeting half way is the decent thing to do if both parties drive, if not then like someone else said maybe train or bus. if none of them , get someone closer to home
