are they really getting it?
do they really get the message of what i am trying to tell them,
so they don't make some of the same, or worse mistakes
than we did.
but do we give them credit, and listen to them, to see if they are listening to us?
or do we drone on like some mindless robot,
out of fear that they are not getting it?
if you don't respect them enough to listen to them,
they will stop listening to you.
and stop respecting you.
they will start to feel that you are speaking
more to feed your own ego,
the exact same way an adult would.
then they no longer respect you,
or desire to prove to you that they are listening.
respect is a two way street, with kids,
or adults.
