Come on guys, this is not true Christmas sprite, just a short 30 second video would be ok, most digital cameras and even mobile phones can do this, believe me, it will really make a huge impression on these kids, and bring them closer to Western kindness, something they rarely see.
They are making the effort and hard work to learn our language, the least we can do is show some kindness in return.
It costs nothing yet will give immeasurable happiness to these students.

My students are putting on a Christmas play, which consists of a number of small plays, songs dancing etc all performed in English by the Students studying English, I have been asked to give a video “fly on the wall documentary” of a typical Western Christmas day.
It then crossed my mind that if I could add some “Best Wishes” from around the world, the students would just love it.
So, can anyone out there make a short video (Digital camera/camcorder), just saying Hello and wishing all the students a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year? Only about or less than 1 minute.
I would be so grateful if anyone can help, plus it would be great for the students to hear English spoken with many different accents. Especially those who have English as a second language!!

You should try googling... christmas greetings from say.... Liverpool, Manchester.. London... Birmingham.... Newcastle.. etc... then you would have all the wishes and a lot of different accents for your students, including the differences in local accents within each city, good luck with your venture and a happy christmas to you and your students....

Yes very true, but the idea is that this is more personal, something done for the students specifically. my idea is to then video a response from the students and show on CS, not sure if that is possible yet, as needs permission from the Dean, if I am to show students on the internet.

I think the problem is how do we upload the video without using youtube

Anyone who has made a video can send to my email address which I will send to them vis CS.
I will then edit all the videos together and make one big video.
I have opened a gmail account specifically for this purpose.
