If my wife had been highly paid I would have done the domestic and child raising part. We kind of did anyway to some degree as she worked part time and my hours were flexible.

In England prviously, the family was predominant: Chlidren had their mother and fathet, but also grandparents, uncles and aunts, and cousins to turn to. With the break up of the family sytem, a system which was beneficial to all, we now have feminist screaming for their rights, children left without proper familial support. Yes RD,.. I was the same, had 7 years off with my boys till they were both at school, me and ex struggled but we both agreed that that is where a woman shoul be...with her babies. Material things just never came into it....
