Godsgift: It's this time of year C! It's easy to get a bit low! Think of the things you did achieve this last year like your diet at a time when morale everywhere is low.

Try and take each day as it comes and count your blessings. I am alone today and I accept that. Perhaps I'll try something different tomorrow! Never say never unless it's Never give up on your dreams!

We're still breathing, mobile and in relatively good health. We have shelter, food and water. Our bins are colllected weekly and when we turn the switch, the light comes on! Your kids are healthy to my knowledge too! To my knowledge, you haven't raised any pschopaths so you must have done something right!

I know more than most how easy it is to get drawn into negativity! When I feel that way,I do the self pity kick for a bit but it gets me nowhere so I do my gratitude list!

You are not without friends. Just a mum who has forgotten how to put herself first having raised her kids!

Aww thanks K. I'm not really down. I'm actually trying to be cheerfully philosophical.

I have a lot of blessings. I have 2 wonderful, healthy, happy, successful sons. If I never do another thing with my life at least I know I've worked damn hard and given my kids the opportunities they deserve.

On a personal level... I have let my guard down a few times over the years and allowed myself to have who I thought were good friends. But they have all let me down and walked away. I'm obviously not the sort of person that people enjoy being with so I won't make the mistake of forming relationships again. I have plenty of colleagues and acquaintances and that will suffice. There's nothing wrong with that. I won't inflict myself on people who don't want me.
