not enough, but I do take plastics, newspaper, cardboard, and aluminum cans to recycling center twice a month. I have seen families have very little trash left after recycling-not there yet. Any suggestions?

yes, we are given boxes to store the recyclable stuff in, by the city council....then they collect the contents of them in a truck from outside our houses every week. theres not much stuff in my house that dosent get recycled.....its been made very easy to do.

This is the main reason I put up this thread to see how many people do and how. I have strategies but let see what ideas/suggestions come up , I'll add mine along the way if required.handshake

CuspofMagic: Which strategies have you implemented for recycling your household waste

I love to purge. I love simplicity.
We have a homeless center, close to where I live.
I give everything and I mean everything to them.
I have little need for more than what I need.
Cars, I tend to give to family members, but I have had a car picked up for salvage.
Even at work we recycle.

My town collects recyclables free automatically. It's cool. They issue us garbage cans and they have a giant truck with a robotic arm that grabs the cans and dumps tem in the truck. I never dreamed such a thing could exist. They're neat to watch.
