professor Talk to your doctor, tell him you have stopped smoking and ask him for a prescription to heroin. It will take your mind off cigarettes for a while.

No I am quite glad that I managed to quit and I will not start again either..and yes not only does one save money and lots of it ..but also my sense of smell is returning...quite interesting thing actuially...

no what I was wanting to know is emotional symtoms..like short temper or becoming very sensitive..crying at the slightest thing,
impatience..that sort of stuff...lol..I know might sound strange..

and jeeps..when I was a teen I tried acid..bad trip..kept me from trying the hard stuff though ..no regrets ..just a lot of learning experience

I'm a serial quitter..I'd say the worst symptoms are in the first 3-4 days for me.I jump straight to livid if something goes wrong,I have no control and its embarrassing. No weepiness, just high irritation and a strong craving for sugar..

I can relate to the craving for sugar...which Iam not used to since I prefer salty to sweet..

but it makes me wonder if the hormone levels get effected..

I found that feeling became little exaggerated, but not to much. I started different routines to keep my mind occupied, such as exercising and improving my eating habbits. I took vitamins and got out of the house (apartment) more than usual.
Now I realize it wasn't the quiting smoking thing that cause emotional irritations. It's the fact that I'm crazy as a loon.

I looked it up,as I understand it;When you take a puff, adrenalin is released in the body, which also releases stored sugar ready to aid fight or flight,so your body is used to many many hits of sugar a day. This is also why you don't get hungry,or crave sugar much,as when you smoke you can get an instant hit.
Unfortunately, when you don't use this adrenalin released sugar it is restored on your arteries as cholesterol.
This is a very rough explanation..

I am also quite curious as to the link between sugar and smoking addiction,as I find I am more likely to start smoking again, when I have been eating a lot of sugar and none is available.

I used to smoke the most ciggies in the morning with my coffee and then after eating..the craving to smoke is gone in the morning
sometimes after eating it comes..
I do get the munchies...try to eat stuff like carrots sticks or fruit though..can t lay off the chips tho..bad ..i know but I do leave sugar alone stopped drinking soda too just coffee tea and water all without sweetner or sugar
