Personaly, I admire TIH relationship and believe in traditional gender roles... but it's not for weak-heared men or control freak women. Everyone has their own likings and I respect that.
We all voluntarily give up some independence when we are in a relationship. I kinda like the joint sharing of control in that way.
Because of this, there is ALWAYS going to be SOME possessiveness, in both directions. The "He's mine/She's mine" thing.
Mostly, for me, that is a mental frame of mind. Happy in the thought that I'm "hers" and she's "mine". That knowledge is sufficient. I have no need to give her a visible hickie, or to muscle in on some guy giving her the eye. If she's with ME, then I accept that, and trust accordingly.

To what degree does someone cross the line and become overly possessive. Is there such a thing in a relationship as a healthy possessive individual? Do we sometimes confuse possessive with obsessive? Insecurity, trust issues who is to blame? Just to lighten it up...laugh and get back to us.
