what u describe here is a feeling of connecting and not possessing... there is a huuuuge difference in my opinion... one is based on the intention of protecting ourselves from fear and hurt and the other is based on the intention to be open for learning... the choice we have is to allow ourselves to do through LOVE (connecting) or to do through FEAR (possessing) JMO

It depends on who you are dating.
I know some couples who don't even know how much money their partner earns. Others I know are totally inseperable in word action and thought.
There's a difference between wanting to be someone's favourite person and wanting to inhabit their every thought and action. A lot of it comes down to self confidence and trust I guess.
