For me its when i get to much on my mind and it will not shut down.I take a hot bath,drink some thing warm,like milk or hot choc.,crawl in bed under the covers with the tv on low,i am usually a sleep before i know it.

Yes I have had trouble sleeping my whole life. Its not very fun, but you get used to it. I suggest if it keeps up go to the dr and ask for a sleeping pills, if you still cant sleep get a sleep apnea test done. It could have to do with your breathing.
