Why do you watch movies ( Archived) (9)

There are so many different reasons for watching movies, why do you do it?

I love watching movies that inspire me. I loved to be stirred up by a movie. Whether it moves me to anger or tears, I love feeling like I am better for having watched the movie. I watch Braveheart and long to believe in something so much that I'm willing to give my life for it. I watch Dead Poet's Society and I'm moved to make the most of my life and encourage others to do the same. I watch Jerry Maguire and want to become successful in whatever I do. I watch Gran Torino and want to do the right thing.

So why do you watch movies? What is the basic characteristics of the movies you love?

I love talking about movies, so lets talk!

True, I have watched movies for a certain actor or director. I have even watched movies because of the soundtrack's composer. And I love the "just killing some time" movies. I would identify these as popcorn movies (made to sell movie popcorn) Most action movies are like this. I love watching superhero movies or movies like Transformers. thumbs up

I get in about 3-5 movie in a week. But with a movie collection of over 800 so far, I spend most of my time re-watching movies. I could watch the Godfather and Gladiator over and over again. I don't know how many times I have seen Shakespeare in love and Avatar.

Shane is my sixth favorite western of all time.

Right behind:

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
The Magnificent Seven
Open Range
Tombstone
Silverado
