was just looking at the sherkin island sign up and went into a few of yer profiles to see where ye are all coming from!!!!
and fAIR PLAY a lot of ye are coming from carlow and killkenny, e.t.c
thing is as ye will see im living in douglas cork but have no idea how to get to sherkin island
so ladies of cork need DIRECTIONS PLEASE!!!

also what time are we supposed to meet up? and where?

its just off baltimore , you would head to bandon , then on to clon , then to skib and then on to baltimore !!!

yeah it would be mayb a twenty min drive from skibbereen !! no probs !! there maybe a faster route !! im not driving very long !

on the sign up thread .... the hotel mentioned is doing a bit of a deal for us ... don't think there's too many on the island??

Leaving Douglas, head for Wilton (that's where the big hospital is with a big circle (roundabout) in the middle of the junction. Go around the roundabout (Circle in the road) heading for the Killarney road. At the next roundabout, turn left and keep driving towards Bandon, then on to Clonakilty, then on to Skibbereen. In Skibbereen at the end of the town take the left turn for Baltimore and keep going. When you reach Baltimore STOP!!!! it has been discovered that it is impossible to drive across water to an Island. To get to the island STRIP NAKED - enter water - and swim like hell ..... there are sharks!!
BUT! if I were you, I wouldn't start from Douglas.
