went to new york a few years ago for the parade expecting there to be big floats and stuff but they take it real serious its all marching bands and police horses and stuff was still good though. im gonna be working as usual though hopefully this will be my last year of working a full day on bank holidays

Ken35: No doubt there will be plenty of drunken Leprechauns on Paddy's day. I was going to bring my son into the parade but I'm having 2nd thoughts now.

I remember the 2005 parade and some of the drunken eejits certainly lived up to the national stereotype of drunken paddies. Personally I think the pubs should only open one hour after all parades have finished, ditto with off licenses.
