I'm not sure its healthy to deny our negative emotions - they can be damned useful, that's why they're there.
Whilst I appreciate a positive outlook is a good thing, this seems unheathily extreme to me.
Perhaps a better positive out look would be to accept that we all have times where we're not.
Besides, if someone behaved like Christian Larson suggests all the time, I think I would probably want to smack them for being falsely happy and Disneyfied.

Negative emotions are only an opportunity to make change.

Our entire life span is about the negative, why not balance it with some positive. Our life can be surrounded with positive reflections without having to feed into the negative that we are intertwined in daily. I think this is what he is trying to say.......I could be wrong, but balance is what we are looking for here.
Jeepers is correct - when you find negative "stuff" within - it it time to seek what the problem is that causes that - and fix it yourself. I've been transformational therapist for 29 years and each of my clients - is referred to me as I don't advertise - and I tell them up front - they will do the work. It isn't complicated - but it takes guts to face the "demons" inside and stand them down, to create that change and learn from the negative.
People who are positive despite the negative going on are in denial and since cancer is a disease that "eats away at your body" they usually end up with cancer or other diseases. You have to be brave enough to face it and fix it. Ignoring what's wrong doesn't make you positive - it makes you foolish. It's like an alcoholic denying they drink - when all around them know that they do.
The gift of change is something we give ourselves in life.

I don't believe we are stating to ignore the negative, we are asking to look at it and turn it into a positive. Negative is around us every single day of our lives, everything we do and live is negative. Its not the situation that will be good or bad - its the actions taken to make that situation for better or worse. Its up to our choices and actions to create our own world - of positive or negative. This is not one side or the other - this is about balancing out the 2.

Quantum Physics says that if you have negative thoughts that they mulitply;one negative thought creates another, which creates all the negative situations and circumstances in our lives. Hence, you are the creator of your circumstances. Negativity is not useful in any way. One can either channel negative energy or positive energy because energy is only that-energy. One can learn how to use negative energy by "jumping" on top of it without absorbing it. Positive energy (or thoughts) only create more of the same.

I won't pretend to know anything about quantum physics but I will tell you that YES negative creates negative. That is plain as day. Its like the old saying goes......MISERY loves COMPANY. If misery didnt have company - it would die down.
Negative is part of our everyday, what we do with it will make the difference in our lives.

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every living creature you meet.
To give so much time to improving yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud word, but in great deeds.
To live in the faith that the whole world is on your side, so long as you are true to the best that is in you.
