~Had a couple of totally bizarre encounters - one was totally nightmare territory and the fact that I had gone half way across the country didn't help - but then the last one was not what I expected but in reverse, if that makes sense ... we'd been chatting for a while but there were so many "things" that didn't match up with who I thought I was looking for - too far away, terrible accent, not tall enough, a bit older, much too domesticated, too much baggage - to name a few. Now before I get lynched, I know I'm far from perfect but I am being honest - I didn't think we had a cat in hells chance (why do we say that?) but we met on a mate date and things have just gone from there and it's soooo much better than I might have imagined - the things that matter are right .... so lesson learned; online dating might not give you want you think you want but give it a chance and you might find what you need
