Well it does if there is love and one party is willing to move.. Long distance relationship requires sacrifice, and i think that would be the test of love. So prepare for it, but if it was within Ireland i dont see that as distance. Especially with someone like me that likes to travel all the time.

I say definately go for it.. I dated a guy from Coleraine pre motor ways etc so it was huge treck for him to Clare .... for a yr and a half . and it was not distance that ended it.. it was me I was not ready to settle down

yes if u live in the same country and no kids involved + a few bob is a bonus...Have tried this for 4 years, back and forth every 3 weeks as we lived in different countries. I learned italian and she had english but at the end of the day it just wasn't ment to be. It can work but I found that when you only see a person for 2 to 3 days every three weeks that it can be intense and anything that may be annoying you or whatever is amplified. But there's also the peace and quiet aspect as well which is great!

had this guy from Waterford... keep asking me to come over for the night, but no dogs, keeping telling, can't leave them on there own all day and night.
so short distance for now...hour drive not to bad!
