At some point in a little girl's life, she wants to be a princess. Not all girls, but some.

When Princess Diana and Prince Charles got married I was glued to the television. I wanted to see "the dress". I saw it and I thought it was ugly.

I was again glued to the television for her funeral. I remember thinking while watching the funeral that my princess had died. It didn't make sense to me, a princess can't die. I cried, my daughter cried, everybody cried. She was really gone.

Now we have another royal wedding coming up. Kate is beautiful and I'm sure her dress will be fitted and elegant.

The wedding will be in the media for days and we will be bombarded with every little thing she did while getting ready to marry the future King of England. A photographer took a picture of her open purse showing that she has started smoking again. The reporter said, Kate has wedding nerves.

When Diana and Charles married it was the biggest news coverage I had ever seen with the exception of Kennedy's funeral.

I'm wondering, is this wedding as big a deal as Diana's.

The day of Diana's wedding I was working at my Saturday job. As people working that day wanted to watch the TV coverage, I volunteered to watch the shop while every other member of the staff rushed off to the electrical department to oooh and aaah over a load of pomp and ceremony. I think I had two customers all day.

I don't have much patience with this royal wedding show time business, but I do think that Diana was one of the most amazing and powerful women that ever lived.

I only hope that one day Kate and William will be able to carry on Diana's passion and influence the world to make moves towards peace, tolerance and compassion.

I'm not sure they have all that much power, though, without risking their lives.

One can have hope.

I believe just as Diana was, Kate will be breath of fresh air. They seem to be very much in love unlike Charles and Di...They are keeping expenses down, and have asked for no gifts, rather that the money go to several different charities. I have the feeling if Wills ever comes to power there will be huge changes. Changes for the better.

I feel the same way.
I htink they will come into their own and make a great team who will make their mark on the world. She is so much more mature than Diana and hopefully can hold her own. I am looking forward to seeing how they do

I agree, she does seem to be more mature.

I hope the Queen won't be a burden to Kate the way she was with Diana.

I get the feeling Kate isnt very likely to be easily manipulated.

I think she will hold her own. she's more mature, and very well educated. she has seen more of the world and knows how to conduct herself. I don't think Wills will stand for it either
