saoirse65: I am a smoker and I would never smoke in front of kids or newborn babies. I have gone outside of my OWN house to smoke when I have had non smokers or kids visiting. In bad weather I would just go to another room. I think it is unfair of you to say that smokers are inconsiderate. Long before the ban in bars or restaurants I would not smoke if someone was eating. However it seems more acceptable for non smokers to treat us all like some form of lowlife and to feel free to tar (no pun intended!) us all with the same brush.
