Once upon a time, I lived on the edge of the woods in America. Mum always told me not to step over the mowed grass and enter the densely wooded great beyond. I was brave though, so I put my tootsie express into gear.
I walked well into the darkness; found vines that I could climb and fallen trees that I could wander over.
All of a sudden, I heard a piddle paddy and a roaring sound. Where was this sound coming from?
A big bear was lurking behind a large tree…I had wandered into his territory. He chased me for a bit and I couldn’t remember my way back. I hid for a while and observed the position of the Sun. That gave me direction to find my way home.
When I got back, Mother asked me where I had been so long. I replied; just picking berries Mummy.
