I think that the whole purpose of advertising is to get a person to buy something they dont need..
There is one thing they want you to do, and thats swipe that card.

I have 2 jobs. As a bookkeeper I've NEVER had to advertise, all my work has come word of mouth. Its a service that people want and need.
As a florist, I have to advertise - its a luxury item, and Im a new business. What I've found is that by giving great customer service and regular client discounts, I am getting alot of return trade. I still believe that word of mouth is the best advertising tool. Its cheaper to do a great job and retain a client then advertise and get a new client.
