I personally like someone who has a fair bit of writing. I don't need a life story in the profile just enough to give me an idea of a person and what they are looking for.

I don't like long, serious stuff on profiles, but then you can't please everyone.

I know I do sumtimes and wonder why did I waste the night trawling through the forums when I could be doing something else,
Last night I went back to Roscommon,The Races were on and the Craic in town was great,went to the Race dance after and had a ball,met some lovely women and ended up swapping numbers with a girl from clones,Think I will have to do more of that,
Beats gettin depressed in front of a computer screen

No, I dont view profiles anymore, not with a view to dating anyway. If someone posts something interesting I will have a look at their profile but thats it.

yes but profiles are full of ideals and such, these often change depending on circumstances, i had ridiculous stuff up on my last profile it was never once pointed out to me which lead me to believe the didn't read it or didn't care
