Glatlol: That doesnt mean you will still hold on to feelings for him, or hold a place in your heart for him.

thumbs up ................ True Y, being a parent don`t give you an automatic place in your ex`s heart.

salanky: not always though just cause you have a child with him doesnt mean you will care about him, you will care about the child and want whats best for them and if thats having their father in their life then so be it but for a lot its better for the children for the father not to be around.

of course that works both ways and there are some mothers that shouldnt be anywhere near children just you dont hear about it as often as its seen as easy for the father to walk away
ill be honest with you and this is aimed at more young lads.. a big reason why lads wont go out with a girl who has a kid or kids who still have their dad in their lives is the fear she will get back with him because of the ''connection'' they have.. i have seen it with 2 people in partic thumbs up

same goes for girls with fellas that have kids, you will always have to share them with the ex if they are in the kids lives be it on good terms or not once theres children involved its a given. that said i would much rather be with someone that has children and is prepared to do what they can for them then be with someone who doesnt give a stuff about them. i think seeing the lengths some people will go to for their children tells you a lot about the person IMO

Glatlol: Yes there is, one guy who helped me believe in myself again after my marriage broke down, who made me believe that I was worthy of love and thought me to value myself.

Sadly he had his own issues that stopped the relationship lastin but I will always think of him fondly and am forever grateful that he came into my life.

x2 hug And while it hurt to get over it for me, i could live on the happy memories of it for the rest of my life .......... because i know now what love really is, it it came along again for me "happy days" ........ and if notthen, like i said "I have my lovely memories" bouquet

Welcome to the forums wave cswelcome

But broken hearts are what give us strength and understanding and compassion. A heart never broken is pristine and sterile and will never know the joy of being imperfect.... by.................

yeah but im sure theres plenty more girls that would try dump the child if they could only its to hard. that said i dont know how anyone could do that after carrying a child for that length of time but of course the circumstances of the pregnancy play a huge part in it aswell

Very interesting and honest views. I think it's true but I do think the reason it is not as common for women is because it is not as easy for them to walk away. I suppose that does mean the women are usually the more 'responsible' one but sometimes only because they have to be.

salanky: my sister got pregnant at 17 in an attempt to keep the fella and it worked for a while then fell apart and she ended up getting pregnant 7 years later with another fella again to keep him and that went horribly wrong but now shes back with the father of the first child and is marrying him in november. its such a life changing experience though and i guess its harder when its not planned, in a way she would say her life was ruined by her silly decisions but at the same time she wouldnt change a thing about the kids
ts it see.. girls dont plan to have them but when they do its the best thing ever
