According to it, men usually add some extra centimeters to their height, and ladies are not always honest about their weight and their age (to say nothing of putting 10-year old pictures on their profiles).
My question is - what for?

Why lie if they ever intend to meet it will be uncovered then and results disaster.
Many are just players and have no intentions of ever meeting anyone so just using and wasting the time of the recipient! Shame!

Looks like I’ve missed a whole chapter in dating as I never met anyone who lied about their weight or height. Have to meet one like this, just to fill that significant gap in my education.
But seriously, do you meet people just because of their appearance? Is there any correspondence/ phone calles that precedes a date? And wouldn’t the correspondence reveal one or another fact about your counterpart that would make you wonder if the person really is what he claims? Of course, the information we get about each other via internet is scarce and biased. But you do keep that in mind when appointing a date, don’t you.

I would not choose a professional photographer.
There are many traits much, much, much, more important that people's weight or looks, like: values, good heart, etc.
However, if a person is overweight and that person can not do some sports that can be a problem trying to make a match with a person who does enjoy sports.

I haven't been on the Forums for a while....partly because I have only just come back on the site....but today, 2 threads caught my eye....this , and ' scammers ' .
To this , I would say, from personal experience , that the ' problem ' is much deeper than just appearance....but certainly people I have met have lied. In fact most of them have !
But it's not just about looks, because if you are looking for a friend or more....that's not the main thing. ( It helps, of course
