ah, I would just tell him to go home and sober up, he talks woeful crap when he has had too much to drink.

To me it is a good thing if the feelings are the same because you are best friends, give it a go you could regret it in years to come

I'd punch him in the face and tell him, "This man's not for turning" Had an affair with my best friend for 2 1/2 years, and we no longer talk........ It cost me my friendship and more.... steer clearI knew a girl for years when I was in my 20's, we were like brother and sister, really close good friends, definately what you would call best friends. Anyway, one night she called over, very upset and told me she had found out her husband had been cheating on her and had fathered a child with another woman. She asked if she could stay the night as she couldn't face going home and needed a bit of space to think. I said yes, thinking she meant stay the night just as a friend. Inevitably, we ended up in bed together,,,, big mistake??? We ended up married and had ten wonderfull years together. We split up due to outside influences (very complicated story) but to this day we have remained best friends. Even after getting married and then divorced, our friendship today is stronger than ever. A lot of the time situations like that dont work out, but occasionally you can meet a friend where the bond is so strong, nothing will break the friendship.

Basically men only want one thing from women no matter what they admit to unless there gay and there only wanting for 1 bad brake up or something big emotionally to happen in her life then strike with sympathetic ear and warm bed.

Just read the thread and i do believe men and women can be very close friends as i have many good male friends since growing up(and thats not today or yesterday) who are just and always have been just friends,neither of us ever wanted to take further.However i do notice the words "not good looking" and ugly used,this shows how shallow people can be,while i will admit there needs to be a physical attraction,often when we get to see past the looks there is a wonderful person.Any wonder many will always remain single

Wow, I married my best friend aswell after trying to set him up with everyone else! Had 12 lovely years of marriage and 2 gorgeous children and we're still friends.
