hmmm I wonder if you could sync it with the coffee machine. laugh

in W.A. we have "Fit Chips" in our Shopping Centres in Perth, "air" cooked to be healthier.............. trouble is they taste like crap, not much point in having chips at all if they don't taste like real chips!

akaRALF: We eat heaps of veg and I hide veg in a lot of meals also including the ones I don't like. I am not a fan of zucchini but I do grate it up so I can't taste it, also avocado I don't like. Tonight we had Chicken schnitzel layered with avocado processed into a paste with lemon and salt/pepper then topped with garlic, tomato, onion & baby spinach with a side of carrots and asparagus.

No potato, pasta or rice!! There were breadcrumbs though.

Thankfully I don't have a sweet tooth, but I do like rich creamy sauces.
yum, the chicken kiev's at aldi are tummy.
I love zuchini with capsicum and onion on skewers with beef or chicken soaked in honey and soy.

I don't think you could do anything to zucchini to make it taste good. It is just a tasteless, watery, mushy mess in your mouth, same with squash and it's relatives. Eggplant is another, I just can't do it. barf

I save the stock when boiling veges to make soups and gravies. I also cook ahead a lot too so when I work nights the kids still have a nutritious meal, just have to pull it out of the freezer.

Yes but homemade ones are better/

Ralf try eating zuchini raw in salad. Much nicer than cooked.

melty1: Coles has low GI potatoes now, they are called "Carisma" potatoes and some doctors are refering customers to them.
Never heard of then before so I had to google them.

As Australia's first certified low GI potato, Carisma is one of the easiest and most delicious ways to increase the number of low GI foods in your daily diet.

To ensure a low GI result when you cook your Carisma potato, simply follow this method:

1.Wash potatoes. Do not remove skins.
2.Chop potatoes into 1 cm thick slices.
3.Place sliced potatoes into hot (not boiling) water.
Then bring water to the boil.
4.Cook potatoes for approximately 4 minutes until 'al dente'.
Potatoes should be firm but cooked through.
5.Season to taste and serve immediately

I found another in depth report on tatties and they love the carisma tatoes boiled as above, but they're not too good fried as they go very soggy absorbing all the oil, they don't roast as well as other potatos either.
Got to get myself some from Coles and boil 'em up.
