I didn't know there was a problem. I use skype as my sister is overseas but I have not had any issues .

Thanks for the info though, I will keep it in mind should it start playing up.cheers

Apparently a lot of users were affected and they filled the Skype support forum with angry posts. I run a Linux version and this morning it refused to start.

I was affected wouldn't open up kept doing it, don't use it any more. the end.

There are instructions how to fix it. Just delete the shared.xml file.
