Ccincy: I've read where you've posted where you say you lift steel so you manipulate right?
Used to rack steel in a steel company...before I got into the bricks..was crushed between 1500 pounds of steel..was lucky..walked away with only a bruised thumb.
Ccincy: Nah that doesn't really prove anything.Just stating a fact that they both were that way.some people are and some appear to be that way.Oh by the way I came up with this thread question cause of your post to someone in another thread.
In my experience it would be my ex-wife because she has the children. She uses them at every stop to get at me and to me. If i don't do what she wants, I don't see the kids. Went through court about 4 times and she always won, except the last time she just got her wrist slapped.
Ironically the only ally there I have is her husband. I guess he had some experiences with ex's from hell.

Although I do not like to be manipulated in my life, I think that some kind of manipulation is always needed to date someone. The vigorousness of manipulation depends on the interest one has. E.g. if a woman wants to get married to a rich or handsome man, she will try to lead him towards it and vice versa.
I don`t think manipulation is gender specific or for that matter specific to a certain species ....
Allow me to explain with the example of my cat. She has learned over the years to manipulate yours truly. Over a period of several years she has "learned" to manipulate me by begging for her treats pretty much when she is inclined to do so.And of course I`m also part of that scenario in that I allow it to happen.Do you see where I am going with this analogy? As a child we "learn" cause and effect almost as we emerge from the womb.Is it any wonder that all of us manipulate and the only difference is in degree from one person to another. And of course this also applies to animals, but we would refer to this behavior as "learned".....I say it is a form of manipulation whether consicous or not.Of course other people would probably argue the point with me,but that is my opinion and we all know what they say about opinions.

Yes I do. Everything and anyone who is in our lives or we want to be in our lives are used to one degree or another. The term itself "use" and "used" triggers negative feelings. But using and being used is only negative once one is getting way too much from the other for it to be reasonable. Some even turn their backs on there own children because of it.
