I watched 15 minutes of it the other day and there were at least 5 shoulder charges like O Garas yesterday...not even a free. Players have a lot to answer for too....falling over as if they were poleaxed with the slightest bit of contact...

Liam Harnan made a fair attempt at removing Jack Sheedys head from his shoulders...LOL.

Im sorry O'Gara deserved to be sent off yesterday he was fouling all over the pitch ans Sweeney was lucky but the Dublin fella went down like a sack of spuds clutching his face and Sweeney only shoved him

unouwantme2: these are no refering issues.. there is no tackle in the game.. its called football yet the amount of fist passes compared to foot passes is unreal and i think thats whats causing all this congestion.. ye wont like it as football fans but i think what would help football massivly is intrioducing some of the rules from the international series vs australia..... i watched all of the louth meath game other night and i can honestly sauy watchin paint dry wud be more enjoyable

You have a point on the hand passing. Hand passing is grand done sparingly and in the way it was intended, as a quick means of launching a potential attack. Not as some teams do as a sort of defensive game of patty cake. I'll be the first to admit that the brand of football Cork played last year wasn't necessarily the prettiest to watch, but last year it was about getting over the line. We got there and since then the football we have played has been exciting and expressive and some of the long range scoring would be the envy of many hurlers.

Tune into Cork and Kerry on Sunday and I think you'll be in for a treat. Your mistake is you made a pronouncement on the entire sport of football based on watching a match between 2 poor teams. Every year the media hypes up Meath to be a 'great team' that they clearly are not. Perhaps they are nostalgic for the days of old, but Meath have not had a really good team in about 10 years.

I mean take last year for example, they had a freak victory against Dublin last year, which they couldn't replicate. They robbed a leinster final against a very limited team and got their arses handed to them by Kildare. They similarly got their arses handed to them in the 07 final by a Cork team that were subsequently hammered by Kerry. The following year they were an Embarrassment and got a flukey enough passage to the semis if I recall, in 2009. So could we please stop putting Meath on a pedastil they don't deserve? As I say watch the Munster final on Sunday and if you can still make the judgement you did based on the Louth V Meath game then fair enough.

Sorry, badly worded by me. I wasn't connecting the 2 comments I made. It was more a reference to the reactions of the two Donegal players when Hughes fouled them...yes Hughes deserved to go by the rules but the over reaction was a bit sad...

Hey dude no problem, I wasnt having a go at you, O'Gara isnt a dirty player but he is very naive and seems to act and then think as for the Kildare player he reacted stupidly and he was taken off shortly after that, correctly IMO
