Tomorrow sees the final launch of the Space Shuttle on a final mission to the ISS.
The end of 30 years of low earth orbit.

Nasa say they have plans for a moon landing in 2018.
The moon probe Lro was launched this time 2 years ago and has
taken amazing photos of the moon suface and captured very important data about radiation and temperatures etc.

I have never believed that Nasa landed on the moon with the Apollo mission during the Nixon administration.

It is estimated that about 20% od americans don't believe it either. Bill Clinton in his autobiography also said that he did not believe Nasa'a claims.

Any thoughts on this ??

Well, there were an awful lot of people to keep quiet on a big conspiracy.... What about the radar reflectors on the moon in exact locations...

As for the shuttle launch, I'm sure NASA will be delighted as long as it doesn't explode at any stagedunno

The Japanese Space program JAXA had a probe (Selene) orbiting the moon from 2008 to 2010 and also took some amazing photos
but said that they saw no evidence of any " mirrors " left there by Apollo 11 or 14.
Japan have announced their intentions of a moon landing in this decade much to the surprise of Nasa.
Nasa has prevented them from showing the photos they took of the far side of the moon !! I find that sorta strange.

Nasa along with India's space program found water at the moon's south pole a few months ago !!

They targetted missiles at a huge crater and eventually discovered water.

You can read about it on Nasa'a home page.

The Russians are still leading the space race and have no intentions of abandoning the Inernational Space Station.
They will even carry the odd american astronaut.

Obama has pulled the plug on all space funding, going against Bush's plans for starting a new space race with the Russinas and Japan.

cheers

If it didnt happen, and the thousands of people employed in the whole process and operation of the moon landing, and not one claim it was a fake! No One on the inside disputed it. It impossible to keep it top secret so it DID happen.

Also at the height of the Cold War, The Soviet Union Did Not Dispute It!

Every scientist who has studied the moon rocks and sand has accepted that they are of non-terrestrial origin.

That the way I look at it.

Tomorrow will be a sad day with the last shuttle launch. Fantastic piece of engineering and a wonderful space craft. A big loss. Hope they get the new design up and running as soon as possible.

Lots of Nasa workers have disputed it over the years and lost their jobs because of their belief !

What about the 8 or 9 astronauts that all met with very suspect accidents during Appollo ?
Even the head of safety was silenced after he submitted a 500 page report to congress stating that the whole Apollo project was in a total shambles. He was found dead a week later with his wife and only child.

Dodgy city !!!!

Americans didnt want to show the world their problems with the projects and love to show their superior to USSR and the world at the time.

No projects is ever run smoothly especially the Apollo project which was massive!

People lose jobs all the time with disagreements among the board and in project.

What about the flags and rovers left behind on the surface! They are seen by telescopes? They didnt get there any other way!

If not by telescope then time will tell when they land again, the rovers, footprints and flag will tell!

There is no telescope known to man that can see things on the surface of the moon !!!

The Russians led the spae race then and are still leading it know.
They own the Internsational space station and have no intentions of ever landing on the moon. They are not that stupid.

That's exactly what Nasa are worried about !!

The Japanese look like they are going to do it this decade and finally fly a manned craft thrpugh the Van Allen radiation belt.
Jaxa, India and Russia are years ahead of Nasa.

i think nasa or as CT people call them Not A Straight Answer :op are keeping lots of information secret, they didnt even find water on the moon, India found water on the moon and it was on news for one day and then nasa seemed to hog the lime light for some reason even tho it was the indian space agency that the water and "artifacts".

and i do think they got on the moon, but why they never went back is the more interesting question :op altho i wouldnt be shocked if it turned out they faked it.
