In response to: What do people think of the new layout to the Cs forums?

I think it looks good but navigation is proving difficult.
I'm in love with the robot smitten heart wings and I just love the "thumbs up and thumbs down" system rolling on the floor laughing

I love it! However, I could wish the CS would give us all more privacy; by preventing other people from being able to casually stroll through our own home bases (?) at the click of a mouse or the tap of a finger. It feels like a violation to me.

You're a bit too old to be pageboy so you would have to be Father Darren. Peterboroughs answer to Father Ted laugh

Re the rating system on the threads/posts......

I may be missing something here, if I am then please let me know.

As I read it,members can rate up or down threads/posts if they like/dislike them. The O.P. can hide posts on their thread if he/she dosen't like/is offended by them.

I also read members do not have to rate each thread/post.

So how come I have just read 2 comments on 2 separate threads, one asking advice, the other a lighthearted comment, none of which was offensive, rude, nasty etc, yet they have been marked down.

Is there someone who just for the hell of it, pops on and rates down threads/comments because they have nothing better to do.

dunno

Yes the O/P can hide a post in his/hers thread which is odd as you can unhide it then read dunno

The O/P can also ban a member from posting in the thread.

The thumbs up thumbs down obviouly will be abused but i think it is good, and yes i saw someone saying goodmorning and they were thumbs down but maybe the person who thumbs down was not a morning person grin
