john12196341jamestown, North Dakota USA53 Threads 684 Postswell i read somewhere that president is a party animal when our nation is going down the tubes. this is what we have running our nation. it was a booze filled birthday party at the white house with hollywood actors and etc present. i just want to say that i am appaled at it because the taxpayers are paying for it while this nation burns. he is nothing more than a celebrity than a president. he spends more time vacationing and partying rather than take care of this nation. this is not leadership but blanking the dog. we need a man in the white who will take care of the people's business. why should i support and respect that man when thousands are homeless and jobless and suffering. we have to get this jerk out of office.

I am reminded of a famous Roman leader who is said to have been in ease when Rome burned (not true at all - Nero was simply overwhelmed by too many fires all over the city and not enough people to fight them).

The way I heard it, Nero actually hired thugs to set the fires, because he wanted to undertake a massive rebuilding of the city.

Actually, most of Rome was built of wood, which is why Rome burnt so fast. Yes, a few buildings were stone, but most were not.

Most jobs that I’ve had took 5 years of time with a company to receive 3 weeks’ worth of Vacation time. As a valued employee, I was called back whenever a crisis developed in my Department; even if I was out of town. Why should the President or Congress be different?

I'd be pissed all of the time if I lived in a Socialist Nation...we do now with Obama. Look...this is reality:
Normal, everyday workers are fired everyday for not performing on their jobs. Why should Obama or Congress be different? Workers are also suspended and fined in some circumstances.
