I have a Lithuanian maiden name. If you meet anyone with my last name, they are a very, very close relative.
But I kept my current last name when I divorced because it's very simple (or so I thought) and I got tired of people misprouncing my maiden name.
They do worse with the name I currently have. WTF? It's a very common, simple name!

Not to mention, my dad, who was hardly what I'd call a proponent for the welfare of his children, (for some reason this bothered the crap out of him) went and told the teacher and the principal to leave me the hell alone.
I'm one in a family of six (eight including mom and dad) who is left-handed. And, interestingly enough, I'm also more of a "leftist" than a "right-winger." Hmm...wonder if there's a connection.
