I wrote about this in a blog regarding my guys sister who ignored her health to the point that now she had to be admitted into ICU.

Couple weeks before she was placed in ICU she began to have pains up and down her arm. She also was taking cough drops like they were candy.
Her brother told her that she should go to her doctor but she refused.

On the 14th my guy and I went on a two day trip and when we returned home on the 16th she was sitting inside her truck having trouble breathing.It took her brother over an hour to get her in his car to take her to the emergency room.That same evening she was placed in ICU.

While in ICU she came down with pneumonia,they had to put a feeding tube in and she has been placed on a ventlator.She has failed every breathing test they've given her cause she was retaining fluid on her lungs.As of today while speaking to a lung specialist he will be placing her in a long term care hospital which is similair to a nursing home.There's a chance she will never come home.

I haven't been on here much cause I've been helping my guy take care of his mother who now has Alzheimers and will need to be placed on meds.

Like I said please don't take your health for grantd.

Yes, I agree; one never knows what is going to happen, how a fairly minor thing can esculate into something more serious.

It puts things in perspective very well.

Hi Ccincy, I take nothing for granted including any health issues.

Just lost a family member who ignore a chest infection,and passed away Sunday after a year from being diagnosed with lung cancer. Needless to say she wouldn't stop smoking either,bless her.

Like you I don't either and never ever will.

So sorry to read this Cincy. When I was young, I had a habit of putting things off when I had aches and pains. I've learned that when you get older, those aches and pains can lead to more serious problems.

I wish better days for you, your sweetheart and his family...
