lifeisadream: Illegal immigration is wrong I do agree with you on that.

However, have you ever wonder why is it that the American Government has not stopped it once and for all?

US is a war country

US have all the resources to stop some poor illegal immigrants from entering their soil.

Why it is that it is not done?

- Trading
(US and Mexico trading for commodities, services, etc…. is significant)
- Oil
(US has reserves but US can get better deals from “friendly countries” like Mexico rather than from “unfriendly countries” like Venezuela or the Arab community)
- Future alliances.
(US have lost the world’s economic and military leadership, not quite sure on the last one. So US have to look for partners and Canada and Mexico are closer by).

Etc and etc……

Immigration, legal and illegal is just one factor of the whole picture. If you can see it whole you would come out with solutions.

I sure do agree with you and I have said it time and time again..even on the post above...What about the holes in the wall..well....the wall is not really there of course and there is areas that are fenced that only go so far. so that I am clear, I do think that the USA can close it and I can not say why they don't. I could speculate but I will choose not to. I just wish that they would do it and be consistent. I have often criticized the whole process and who can and who can not come to this country both easily and with great hardship. It was one of the big factors why my exwife did not wait a year and instead met someone else.

What happened to you, lifeisadream? If you are able to read this, message me. This is getting strange....all the pro-humanity participants are disappearing.

Raising this sensitive matter of immigration, can cause a an uproar,-I know.....

But what these so-called philanthrops so easily forget,is...there´s people on both ends of this issue....

But it´s not about immigrants really,it´s about immigration,-in other words,-economy...that´s what it´s all about, has always been, and will be...

Some people just don´t like to pay for other´s welfare,-but who really does?

So let´s ask ourselves,-what´s a society made of?

Of course,-humans!

What is society?

Society covers many sectors,as a matter of fact,hundreds,-and immigration is just one part of it....

But what´s so sensitive in debating, criticising this issue?

Answer is,-it´s about humans...

But again,-the human "aspect",is only discussed from on one side,-the takers,-never what the givers might think or say.....,and by not discussing this, and looking at it critically,it will,in time to come,-be counterproductive....

jac379: If laws are inhumane how do you go about lobbying to change them without discussion first?

One can do all the discussing and lobbying one wishes to, and hopefully any unfair legislation could eventually be overturned: until such time as changes are made, laws are meant to be abided by.

laws are merely about peoples rights....even the offenders rights...but yea, they have to be discussed before they can be changed....but here, each state has the right to vote for their own laws and federal law is supposed to stay out of it....i wish someone would point that out to obamaprofessor laugh

(sorry, i just jumped in the conversation and don't even know what's going onlaugh uh oh )

Jac: We in a civilized society must follow the law until such time as the law or laws are changed......Surely you agree with this?

Is it your position that a civilized society has laws that are inhumane?

Do you think people who make inhumane laws, can be trusted to make them humane without any discussion?

If it's illegal to discuss an inhumane law, should we keep silent?

jac379: I find it strange that people's resentments about where their taxes go focusses on others who don't earn enough to be taxed, rather than war, space exploration, or keeping politicians in extravegant wining, dining and other perks.

I also find it strange that more resentment isn't focussed on big earner's tax dodging as surely this will cost governments and the average, or low tax payer more making up the deficit.

I suppose we all have different ideas about that which is of primary importance.

I think welfare recieving coporations took more jobs out of America, than illegals took from Americans.
