Research estimates the value of possessions held among Britons in the 'cloud' has soared to more than £2bn.
More than a quarter of people in the UK have hundreds of pounds worth of films, videos and music stored online, research for cloud computing company Rackspace has found.
And a third of those think what they have is valuable enough to be 'willed' on to a loved one.
More than one in 10 - 11% - have already put important internet passwords in their will or plan to do so, allowing access to information stored in 'cloud' services, such as Hotmail, Facebook, iCloud and Flickr which would otherwise be lost, the survey from Goldsmiths at the University of London found.
Sentimental possessions are also being taken into account, with digital photography and home videos and recordings potentially being 'lost in the ether' if no one knows how to access them.

Rest of the story:

Had you given any thought to any digital content stored Online? I hadn't until I read that and will be adding them to my will when I rewrite it.
Currently, I have quite a lot stored Online. Photos, music, magazine subscriptions and films.

I read the same thing this morning in The Mail. I've loads of stuff on my HDD. Probably means I'm richer than I thought..

Yah, and because you're only passing on the password, the value of the content is not subjected to any tax... apparently. I can bet that will soon change when they work out how much people have stored Online.
