They are Roma people who have moved from Romania to Ireland, more or less all these gypsy beggards on the streets are Romanian Roma people.
They are not Swedish Roma, nor German, French, Spanish or Finnish Roma.
These other nationalities Roma minority stay in their own countries because they are not harassed nor hated in their own countries.
This is an unfortunate situation which causes many ignorant people here - and other European countries- to think that all Romanians are Roma people.
And btw, they are shipped here by their own mob bosses to work as beggars. Just pay attention, whenever you see a woman sitting begging on the street, there is an Overcoat not too far away keeping an eye on her and taking care of her earnings.

They are not exclusive to any country..they are an ethnic group that has no homeland per se.
Hey! Just after reading your thread there- In my opinion it's old Irish attitude that, i've got many different friends of variances of nationalites whom go out with Irish people. I think the main reason it happens is simply put to personal bias and reflection upon other people of your nationality that have affected our country negatively, such as crime rate and living off the social welfare. Alot of people are too close minded to cancel out mindless perceptions rather than try to experience something new. As someone said previously, regardless of what nationality you are, when you go to a different country alot of predjuice is created- believe me, the Irish have a few biased titles to their name abroad :P

I think thare are loads of you out there who would not date a foreign man just because they think they deserve better and they are getting loads of attention anyhow ( fair play ) and than there are those who think that i should be going out with them just because they are irish.
Does any of the man out here feel like options are getting scarce more and more? And this is one which compromise will not fix. Once you have settled for less than you think you deserve your relationship is doomed!
