Got a craving for some Mezcal tonight, then found out it's not available at any liquor outlet in Ontario, Canada. It's made in Oaxaca, Mexico, so I'm sure the U.S., has lots. What about Europe ? Just curious.

Mezcal is not only made in the state of Oaxaca Mexico, it is made in many other states of Mexico.

It is stronger than Tequila, enjoy it or enjoy something else.

Today I was watching a program from the internet with one of my children and in some part some one said:

Enjoy every meal and every drink as it were the last one!

The best Mezcal I ever had was in a little town in Oaxaca state, Puerto Angel, on the coast.

oh yeah, we have it here. We used to save one bottle and put the worms in it..{years ago} when the bottle got to the point where it was a few inches tall with worms in a few shots we would dare anyone to drink and chew for a prize!!laugh
We went through a lot back then and it was pretty funny when someone would take the dare,,they were usually so smashed they wouldn't remember anyway,lol but it made for some entertainment back then.
;-}

The worm is moth larva that can infest Maguey plants, from which Mezcal is made.

save me the worms..rolling on the floor laughing ..being well read on the ways of my ancestors...i as a youth was found of mezcal...its peyote like organic lsd...you can eat the cactus buttons and take a trip and never leave the farm as they say...you mind opens and the doors of perception are open..sweet eye trips too...the yaqui indians ate buttons to have visions of things to come...well not just them all indians used things to induce visions...they smoke mushrooms,the used the datura pplant and jimson weed...marijuana was not widely use for the visions..it was not potent enough...carlos castanedas wrote a series of books the teachings of don jaun a yakqui way of life...in which the old indian use herbal medicine with carlos to induce visions so he could learn to be a warrior in daily life...to get in touch with your tonal and naugal mind...the awake mind and sleepin mind...the concious and sub consious mind...the sub being the more powerful...they brought it out with herbal assistance...
my point is the worm lives in that cactus and will get you high...soEAT THE WORM AND TRIPit will be an experience you wont forget...you may even relive it for the rest of your life...revelations through herbs...i love it..practiced it for years...
