HAVE HEARD THIS SO MANY TIMES AND SEE IT AGAIN
AND AGAIN ON THE FORUMS.
HAVE A LIFE OK COOL WHAT IS IT EXACTLY AND
HOW IS IT MEASURED?
GET A LIFE OK NOT SO COOL THINK THAT
ONE IS EASY EXPLAINED AWAY.
WHY WOULD YOU TELL SOMEONE TO GET A LIFE?
SOME DO ANNOY TO EXTREME AND PERHAPS THATS ONE REASON.
JUST CURIOUS!

I WILL KICK THIS ONE OFF AS ITS MY THREAD.
I RUN A BUSINESS HAVE DONE FOR SOMETIME NOW.
EARN CASH, SPEND CASH.
SPEND TIME ON THE INTERNET.
TAKE CARE OF MY HOME.
GO SHOPPING.
TRAVEL TO DIFFERENT PLACES.
ENJOY THE UNUSUAL, MUSEUMS, OLD CASTLES,
HISTORICAL PLACES OF INTEREST.
LOVE THE SEA.
SO I THINK I HAVE A DECENT LIFE!
I AM HAPPY WITH IT AND THAT IS ALL THAT
COUNTS.

You have a good life Sail,no doubt you have worked very hard for it too.

I have often wondered about the same expression "Get a life" I've heard it many times walking past groups of teens etc,they may be having a disagreement about something or other.I thought the first time I heard it,that it was a strange remark for some one young to say,as they've not lived much of their life to that point.
Maybe,by the person saying it,they are trying to impress the other person that their life is better.
On the other hand it could also mean that to tell some one to get a life as a way of telling that person to be a responsible for his or her actions, same as in the expression "Grow up"

Just my opinion of course...non of what I've written is fact,just my observations.

Caps lock is not really needed. It's considered 'shouting'.


To answer the question, 'Have a life' means that we have far better things to do, than partake in whatever prompted it to be mentioned.

For example, I won't be watching the Twilight films, as I have a life.


'Get a life' means that someone's being rather pathetic and needs to evaluate their life's priorities.

For example, I'm not speaking to 'so and so', as they said something that gave me butthurt.

This means that C.S. is not my life just a place I pop in and out of.

A good example would be a person with multiple profiles on any public forum.

Profile A makes a comment profile B responds

Have you finished the yet?

Especially when both A and B have almost the same profiles, apart from the age.

Let's not forget the writing style as well.

And to think im labeled the drama queen?
From what i witnessed it seems to be a group of adults following another around boards making sly and pathetic jabs..
I would define that as "getting a life"
