carenza: have you noticed that some words in topics titles are underlined?
like for example the word single in the topic about too many single mothers?
if you mouse over it, you see a little pop up....advertisement for another dating site...

Ah, well I didn't mention that Spybot updates its data regularly whenever new threats are reported/discovered. There's a link you can click on in the program that will search for new updates and gives you the choice of what you want upgraded or updated. As I previously said, I also use Malwarebytes and run it often. The last scan found 2 threats and removed them. Then I ran Spybot and it found 48 more threats that Malwarebytes never saw. And one of them was a trojan to disable Windows Security.

Install Adblockplus in your browser. That should help out, as I've not seen anything like you've described.
That will block any adverts from appearing. I have it installed, as well as 'noscript', so it removes a lot of unwanted junk from loading on the pages I visit.
Though, admittedly, 'noscript' did take a bit of fiddling with to get it to work how I wanted it too.

I just logged in about 30 minutes ago and immediately "Avast" my virus program detected a virus, nothing else open, It stopped it but this has been happening to a few people and to me 2 times before this just in the last few days.
