I speak to people from all over the planet daily at work and I frequently tell them...people from the American midwest do not have an accent...we speak FLATLY. Completely uninteresting, I assure you! LOL!

presuming_m: Aswina can I just say that I admire how you take a screwed up language like English and manage to make yourself completely understood. Much better than some people who present themselves as native English speakers on here! You always have something thoughtful and interesting - or just plain funny - to say. As for all the other who put up with us snobby English speakers - thank you! I for one have always wanted to learn Italian!
