The advantage to dating a younger guy is that most times he's got no baggage!! The downside could be immaturity, but if he's mature and no baggage, win win.
I have never dated a man my age yet.......just the way it goes, not by choice...they just don'r ask me out......my ex was 7 years younger than me (maybe it would have worked if he had gotten a JOB!) so i see nothing wrong with it....and i hear the 40'sa re the new 20's.......hee hee
All but two of my relationships have been with older women. When I was 19 I was seeing someone who was 24 (6 years together), and it was only the past few years I had been seeing a woman a couple years younger (but someone who generally acted older (more mature) than their age...so we matched), and recently tho, it was someone 27. Before that one that a brief fling was with someone 49....she was a little too old for me, and not as mature...if you can understand that. 27 is as young as I have ever gone. Can't see dating someone younger than 25, but if they were younger than that, they'd have to be very, very mature...At 19 I couldn't stand the immaturity of the women my age.
I have always been more mature than my age....at 19 I was being mistaken for 30....started my first business at 24. My employees were 20 years older than me...
I guess the younger women I am dating now have caught up in maturity...or I am de-evolving... But I wouldn't pass up on a woman 7 or 8 years my senior if she was someone I wanted to spend time with. To me though, 'cougars' seem liek women having a mid-life crisis. And men end up criticized for seeking younger women.....though I don't understand that train of thought, either....what would you have in common, really?
Heck, if you are at the same maturity level, go for it....except those guys & women who are 45 and act 12.
