Cleveland is the site of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but what makes Cleveland worthy of the title "Home of Rock and Roll?"

Answer: Cleveland DJ, Alan Freed coined the phrase "Rock and Roll" on his Moondog Rock and Roll Radio Hour in the early 1950s. Freed is also credited with organizing the first rock concert, the Moondog Coronation Ball on March 21, 1952

Since then, Cleveland has been instrumental in launching the music careers of such artists as Bruce Springsteen, Devo, Chrissie Hynde, Roxy Music, David Bowie, and the James Gang. Today, Cleveland is the home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a showcase of artist memorabilia, costumes, props, and, of course, music.

"Sony Music has come under fire after it increased the price of a Whitney Houston album on Apple's iTunes Store hours after the singer was found dead.

The music giant is understood to have lifted the wholesale price of Houston's greatest hits album, The Ultimate Collection, at about 4am California time on Sunday. This meant that the iTunes retail price of the album automatically increased from £4.99 to £7.99."

The sudden death of Whitney Houston has shocked the nation, but none more than her 18 year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina Houston.

TMZ reports that the news of her mother’s death has struck Bobbi so hard that she has since been in and out of the hospital because she is “hysterical, exhausted and inconsolable.”

TMZ also states that a source says that Bobbi may be suicidal and is under close watch. The family is considering rehab as an option.


May she find peace.

Have to agree with you on that one Mickey,some things should be kept private,especially knowing how fragile her teenage daughter is at the moment.

Not a good move.

I don’t think the media at this event will contribute to the fragility of the daughter. The one responsible for the fragility was Houston herself who seemingly didn’t give a damn about the well being of the daughter by her selfish actions and left her motherless.The daughter was raised in a circus atmosphere and a few more cameras at her mothers end of life celebration couldn’t possibly do anymore damage. She most likely expects it and would be more confused if there wasn’t any media present.
