Gaff is everywhere I'd say shadow. In Cork city (though not in the county) Gawk means vomit. In Limerick Tackies are runners.

there was a phrase we used years ago for when you wanted to leave, or just go home or whatever, you'd say "i think i'll cut my stick". must be 25 years or so since i've heard it.
