I have to somewhat disagree with you...I like it smooth, but I love that rugged look when it's left for a few days...it reminds me of camping...lol
The ladies should probably keep in mind that most men don't really care about their facial hair. They(we) tend to keep it the way we thinks it looks best.
If a woman strikes our fancy and says they'd prefer it another way it's usually not a big deal for him to "build by design". There are exceptions of course but for the most part we don't care.

True...my ex told me she like a well maintained goatee. So i do go by what the woman prefers.

)The only thing I really don't care for is a huge 'santa' like beard except for on santa of course 9he's comin soon you know)....otherwise as long as he has a good heart it's all good
