How come not one person mentioned the Dragon Slayer????????????
I'm Irish and celebrate Paddy's day (even though he's Welsh)..The Scots drink gallons of heavy on Burns night & St Andy's day...Welsh likewise on 1st March for Davey.
My Q is simple why don't the English celebrate today?

At a wild guess, it may have something to do with it offending people from other countries. Become a nation afraid to celebrate our own patron saint, and instead have to 'borrow' St Patrick.
