Depends in whether or not you want the rhubarb to keep growing so you can have it every year. You can pick it once the stalks reach approx 10in but if you want to have it continuously you shouldnt pick all if it for 2 years, and dont pick it at all from June onwards.
do new stalks grow when u cut back long ones?? this was part of an established plant which friend gave me....thanks

I have heard it said that you should really put manure on your rhubarb.

Dont cut it, pull the stem you want away, and yes it will grow and spread.

na ya missed nowt "blipper2000" was a regular chatter here for a long time, sometimes his posts made sense, most of the time however his post looked like gibberish nd his fav word to end a post for reasons only best known to himself was "Rhubarb
